Indigenous education resources
The Virginia Department of Education released updated proposed guidelines for teaching history in Virginia schools and it’s got us a bit triggered. The Commonwealth has a long and painful history of erasure of Native American, Indigenous and African American history. So we started putting together some resources that we wanted to share while we continue to push for the VDOE Board to do better. This is obviously not an exhaustive list and we will plan to set up a dedicated page for educational resources and continue adding to it but these are some accounts that we have followed and learned a lot from.
